The future of commercial event production is anchored in precision fabrication and material circularity. At MB Designs Inc., we merge cutting-edge technology with sustainable manufacturing to offer flexible custom 3D printing solutions for your next activation, including biodegradable containers. Planners can seamlessly rent from our extensive catalog of existing 3D-printed vases, structural planters, table numbers, and candle holders, or collaborate with our team to create bespoke, brand-matched architectural elements. Every piece is fabricated using durable, bio-based polymers derived from renewable plant resources, ensuring a truly sustainable product.

If your creative team can conceptualize it, we can print it using custom 3D printing technology. By printing on-demand with advanced, plant-derived bioplastics, we eliminate traditional manufacturing overproduction and keep waste to an absolute minimum. Our renewable plant-based polymers, sourced from renewable resources like corn starch and sugarcane, provide a structurally durable alternative to petroleum-based synthetics, making them ideal for biodegradable containers. These custom decor pieces are not only highly durable but also exceptionally lightweight, reducing transport weight and enabling rapid, efficient on-site team installations. Additionally, instead of viewing custom pieces as single-use waste, many of our bespoke corporate fabrications are cataloged directly into our permanent rental pool after your event, ensuring that materials remain locked in active circulation and contribute to a sustainable product lifecycle.
In today's market, biodegradable containers are becoming increasingly popular as consumers seek sustainable products. With advancements in custom 3D printing technology, businesses can create unique and eco-friendly packaging solutions that meet both functionality and environmental standards.
Our printing filaments are derived from renewable plant starches rather than petroleum oil. However, a major greenwashing myth in our industry is that plant-based bioplastics are easily "biodegradable." The reality is that these durable polymers require specialized industrial composting facilities to break down and will last indefinitely in a standard landfill. Because of this, we do not rely on passive biodegradability hype—we focus on active circularity by designing items to be permanently reused, rented, or repurposed. In the rare event that a 3D-printed asset breaks beyond repair, we do not throw it away; it is collected and processed through our dedicated TerraCycle recycling systems.
We work to get as close to your designated brand or Pantone colours as technically possible using our plant-based filament library. Just like traditional production, every physical medium-whether it is a vinyl banner, foam core sign, custom fabric, or 3D filament-will naturally show slight color differences even when using the exact same Pantone code. Don't forget to also factor in that the shift from daytime natural light to evening room lighting will naturally alter your color. If you need expert assistance navigating room lighting, color matching, and cohesive venue styling, you can hire our team for a separate Event Design Consultation by the hour.
You have flexible options! You can either rent the pieces for your activation window or choose to purchase them outright. Purchasing them allows you to bring the custom fabrications back to your corporate headquarters to build out your own internal event inventory for future activations. If you choose the rental option instead, all items return to our facility to be catalogued directly into our permanent rental pool at Black Label Rentals, keeping the raw materials in active circulation. In the rare event that a 3D-printed vessel breaks beyond repair on-site, it never goes to a landfill-it is collected and processed through our dedicated TerraCycle recycling stream. Please note that if you choose to purchase the physical pieces, the underlying digital CAD design files remain the exclusive intellectual property of MB Designs Inc. unless your organization wishes to acquire ownership of those files for an additional design transfer fee.
Because 3D printing is a meticulous, layer-by-layer manufacturing process, it requires strategic project scheduling. Production timelines depend entirely on the scale, complexity, and total volume of your pieces. For large-scale rollouts or custom structural backdrops, we recommend reaching out 2 to 4 months before your event date to allow ample time for digital design proofing and filament sourcing. For smaller production runs, we require a minimum 4-week lead time, which means the final 3D digital designs are fully approved and our machines have a clear 4 weeks to print. If you have an urgent timeline, we can usually accommodate rush jobs depending on our current lab capacity, but a rush production fee will apply.
We specialize exclusively in high-impact, smaller-scale event assets. Our equipment prints everything from geometric tabletop bud vases and custom tabletop structures to architectural table numbers, beautiful candle holders, and stage planters designed to pair perfectly with our fresh or faux plants. For our candle holder configurations, we offer specialized rentals featuring battery-powered faux candles. To ensure a complete waste-free lifecycle, all exhausted candle batteries are collected and processed through our dedicated Call2Recycle partnership, keeping hazardous electronic waste entirely out of local landfills.
